Briana has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician throughout the United States, Germany, and Italy. As a classical musician she has performed with the Western-Piedmont Symphony, the Topeka Symphony Orchestra, the Lawrence Chamber Orchestra, the Arapahoe Philharmonic, and the International Lyric Academy Orchestra.
Briana was selected to perform and tour Italy with the International Lyric Academy Orchestra during the summer of 2012. She spent 6 weeks touring and performing throughout Italy with an orchestra performing operatic genres. An avid chamber musician, Briana also spent 8 weeks performing with a string quartet at the Euro Music Festival in Leipzig, Germany. She has also attended many prestigious summer music festivals including Interlochen Arts Camp - MI, Chautauqua Music Festival - NY, Euro Arts - Leipzig, and the ILA in Viterbo, Italy.
Briana has enriched her life as a musician by performing solo for numerous world renowned violin artists in Master Classes including: Eugene Drucker, William Preucil, Roland & Almita Vamos, Jaques Israelavitch, Brian Lewis, and Stephen Clapp.
As a performer and promoter of non classical music, Briana enjoyed touring with a country band where she traveled on the road, nation wide, for two years opening up for Darius Rucker. Briana has also enjoyed collaborating and performing with singer songwriter, Julia Othmer, based out of L.A.
Most recently Briana and her husband, John, founded Trading Post Productions - a music production and entertainment organization based in Denver, Colorado. Their summers are spent traveling across Colorado performing live music and DJ-ing for private events, weddings, parties, and corporate events.
Briana is originally from Olathe, Kansas and began studying the violin at age five. She received her early violin training from Alice Joy Lewis and Tiberius Klausner. Briana holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and has received graduate level training from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver.
Briana currently maintains her own private studio in Littleton, Colorado. In the past she was on faculty at Music & Arts and the Denver Music Institute as a Music Educator providing private instruction on violin and viola.
